I was a CityNet Customer for over 10 years, and with TiftNet sinch the Plant purchase. I like to support my hometown businesses whenever possible. Overall I have been pleased with Plant, especially the phone and internet services. I am having a problem with the cable TV. I think it is a fair question to ask: why does Mediacom have 3 times the HD channels, (60+) compared to around 21 for Tiftnet? Plant had a price increase a year ago and stated "more HD channels coming." After asking a lady in customer service recently she stated they had no plans to add more channels.
I'm still waiting. Is it a money issue or a technical issue? I would not mind paying a few $ a month for more HD. Why not have a tier. Those satisfied with present setup, the price stays the same. Those willing for more HD can pay a little more to get it. I have a lot of money invested in 2 HD Tv's and the more HD programming, the better. Viturally every city in South Georgia, Albany, Valdosta, Moultrie, etc. has much more HD than Plant.
I am going to be patient for a little longer, but time is limited.
